Earrings in my Etsy Shop

Earrings in my Etsy Shop

Thought I’d give Etsy another try, so I made another shop and I put up some earrings for sale.  They come shipped in a gift box and the prices are very reasonable.  You can view all 12 pairs I’ve posted by clicking on the “My Etsy Shop” link to the right.

Genevieve and Beauregard

On Sunday night I’ll have a couple more paintings and hopefully a couple more dolls listed for auction on Ebay.  They will be up for a week , so the auctions will end December 6th.  Yikes, did I just say next week is december?!  Time is flying away.

It has been almost a month since my last post.  You would think that after quitting my pt deli job (last day was Halloween) that I would have lots more time to focus on my art,  get many things done and post like crazy.  It’s daunting, Facebook, Etsy, Ebay, Website, Twitter . . .Oh my.  Too many gardens planted makes for a lot of tending and weeding.  On the life in general front though it has been a busy month, a new kitten to keep Leonardo company and of course she brought some uninvited guest via her intestinal tract.  This consumed a week of obsessive laundering, cleaning, medicine administering twice a day – to two cats with very sharp teeth, no small feat.  I was a Feline Florence Nightingale.  The week after that was all about the 8 big dead Carolina Hemlocks, half leaning toward my house, half leaning toward the neighbors and just waiting for the next big ice storm.    Had to get removal quotes and spoke to a lot of lumberjacks and the guys at my bank and such.  The chosen lumberjacks did a great job, except for when the power lines got ripped from the house by a big rogue (tired of that word) limb.  Those things happen in tree removal I’ve been told.    After the power was fixed and the lumberjacks and electricians paid, I went inside to lay down for a while on the living room couch.  While on my back looking at the ceiling, I noticed the ceiling crack is getting much bigger and one side was hanging down.  I researched the project on Bob Vila’s website and began it by myself, determined not to have to pay another person to do a job since I was now officially broke.  As I began drilling, the ceiling began falling and long story short, my living room ceiling is now being held up by a big sheet of plywood and an extendable metal pole.  Not pretty, but safe.  Come spring or summer I’ll call out to the professionals for quotes, but for now it works fine.  I’ll wrap some holly and lights around it. So anyway, that’s what I’ve been doing.  I do miss those big trees, wish they hadn’t died.  Dang you Woolly Adelgids, a hex on you and all of your invasive parasite friends.

On this Thanksgiving weekend I am thankful for the roof over my head, even if it is being held up by a big sheet of plywood and a metal pole.  Seasons Greetings to all!
