I am a self taught mixed media artist who has worked in a variety of media my entire life, or at least since age 2. I collect art supplies and I’m not afraid to use them. I started out making narrative jewelry in 1991 and had a popular wholesale line for a decade. In the past few years, while I still make jewelry, I have moved away from the production wholesale line, much to the dismay of my bank account, and have returned to my creative roots of painting and sculpture. This has led me to figurative sculpture or ‘doll’ making and collage, wonderful venues for storytelling. People have told me I should focus on one thing and I always consider that advice for possibly tomorrow, which so far hasn’t arrived! I suppose I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.
